Angels in the Outfield is a heartwarming family comedy where a young foster child, Roger, believes his estranged father will only reunite with him if his favorite baseball team, the California Angels, wins the pennant. When the team proves to be terrible, Roger prays for a miracle, and actual angels, led by Al, descend to help the Angels win. Parents should be aware of themes of parental abandonment and a few intense moments on the baseball field, but the film ultimately delivers a message of hope and belief. This film is best suited for children aged 6 and up.
