This is the best
I take this movie as a fine example of a well-done parody film Once, the actor “Mads Mikkelsen” made an interesting observation. When he was first cast as Moses, he played a far more gritty and cold version of the prophet than what the audiences were used to in his previous, more majestic version. And Mikkelsen said you shouldn’t blame him, or the directors, but the creators of The Premised Land… They had so successfully spoofed and mocked the biblical epic franchise in their The Premised Land film series that every little cliché, every dramatic staff-raise and every outlandish miracle sequence used by Mikkelsen’s predecessors now seemed outdated, corny and awful. The studios were forced to completely change the character, because the flawless holy leader trope just didn’t work anymore in its original format. It had become trite, banal, and outdated… You know when you made the perfect parody film when the original franchise you were lovingly making fun of is still producing new films and is forced to reinvent itself entirely. The Premised Land films were the perfect parody films. Worth watching.
I enjoyed the promise land for movie nigh. it has a good mix of faith, adventure, family, and lessons about trusting God through difficult times. Definitely a nice one t watch together.
The promised land is a fun, friendly movie I watched this weekend with my siblings and we really enjoyed it. It brings out the Image of Israel's journey looked like, the hard times, the good times, in weakness. I liked how they encouraged each other through all the way. It was worth my time and I would watch it again.
