Not recommendedTrusted family reviewersEven for films aimed at kids, this is dreadful. Family moves to the country, acquiring the dog of the title on the way, even though dogs are not allowed in the countryside(!). The dog's thoughts are spoken by Walliams. The comedy is unremittingly leaden and the script bland. The dumb dog has only two tricks, repeated endlessly here. Hynes has named this as her one regret in her professional life.…
